This place is squeaky clean!!!! The service is amazing and very kid friendly. The sides are so good! The Mac and cheese is the best I ever tasted.

Very good bbq spot, highly reccomend if you are in the area. brisket was really soft and juicy, ribs were pull the bone out and had a great smoke flavor to them. BBQ beans were the favorite side, but all of them were good. They have a really good in house bbq sauce as well for everything. Best food in Beatty.

The food here was well prepared and the decor and atmosphere was awesome. Service was good. Is the restaurant would benefit from a little bit more seating. I think the prices were reasonable for a tourist town. However I think they would benefit from offering quarter pound sandwiches at three dollars less. I would pay ten dollars for quarter pound of meat. The pickled onions and pickles were great. I would recommend the jalapeno macaroni and cheese.

Excellent spot and very clean! We ate on the patio with our dog and is very cute surrounded by rose bushes. The inside dining area and especially the restroom was spotless. We had the brisket which was flavorful and juicy. Will definitely come back next time we’re in town.

Oh my god! I think I went to Beatty for one night stay while in Death Valley only to discover this place. Never had such soft ribs in my life. Anything in calgary is not even 1% of this. Love love love the ribs. Burger was good, brisket lacked flavor but was good. If I am in the area again will visit again for the ribs

Absolutely incredible find. Loved it so much we went two nights in a row. Had the brisket sandwich, ribs, and the coleslaw. The best ribs I have EVER had, no exaggeration. Service was friendly and the people who run this place are wonderful. Cannot tell you how good the ribs were. Make sure you try them, smoked to perfection. Best meal of our trip!

Looks new, clean and nice patio. The food is fantastic. The beans were delicious. I ate so much brisket. Wow. Awesome place.

We ALWAYS stop by here when traveling along the 95. Smokin J's BBQ (and the other local establishments) provide a true old west atmosphere that can't be beat! Everything we've tried so far has been delicious. Our favorites are the brisket (obviously), jalapeno mac n cheese, and the banana pudding. We usually get sandwiches and sides to take on the road, but the patio and dining room are both charming for dine-in too. You might even see the local burros coming to poke around! If you are coming through town and see them open, make sure to give it a try. It's well worth the stop. So is having a walk around the old buildings after dinner also!
